Brock was born in Webster, South Dakota, on July 12, 1977, to dairy farmers Stephanie and Richard Lesnar. Chad and Troy are his elder brothers, while Brandi is his younger sister.
He went to Webster High School, where he was a football player. Brock competed in amateur wrestling during his senior year, finishing third in the state finals.
