Chuck was born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 10, 1921, to Alban Francis Connors and Marcella Connors. Chuck grew up in the Bay Ridge district of Brooklyn. He’s sister Gloria, who was two years younger than him. He attended the Adelphi Academy, a private school with an athletic scholarship, and graduated in 1940.

He was nominated for an Emmy for his role in the miniseries “Roots”. His other television shows are The Loretta Young Show, Forster Playhouse, GE Theater and Superman. He was active in his acting until he died in 1992.
